“In Vietnam, asking ‘Have you eaten yet?’ isn’t really about food. It’s a way of checking in — making sure someone’s okay, looked after, and not forgotten.” This phrase is a big part of Vietnamese culture. It’s how people show warmth, connection, and care. At HOP, we’ve built our loyalty app around that same idea — welcoming you back, rewarding you for choosing us, and saying thanks every time you visit.

What makes ours different

Viet Butter, not mayo

Our Hoi An-inspired build goes back to Vietnamese butter instead of mayo. It gives the baguette a clean richness without weighing down the pickles, herbs, and filling.

Pate is back where it belongs

A trip to Hoi An changed our minds about pate. The Hoi An Deluxe brings chicken-liver pate back into the build for a silky, savoury layer that adds depth without making the sandwich heavy.

Crunch in every bite

Sharper pickles, fresh cucumber and crispy shallots bring snap and freshness, while a light Viet Jus drizzle pulls the flavours together. It is the contrast that makes each bite work.

Where banh mi comes from

Banh mi starts with a baguette, introduced to Vietnam through French influence, then made unmistakably Vietnamese. Cooks filled the crisp bread with pate, butter, meat, pickled vegetables, cucumber, herbs, and chilli, turning it into fast, portable street food with layers of flavour and texture.

Different parts of Vietnam have their own versions, and Hoi An is especially famous for its banh mi. That is where HOP found the rich, silky pate that inspired us to rethink our own recipe: keeping the crunch, freshness and speed, while bringing more depth to every bite.
